The
Orthos swing achieves the highest standards of access control. Working
on an interlock principle the user presents a valid access card to open
the first curved sliding door. 'ON' entering the unit first door closes
and various different security checks take place to ensure the user
is alone and authorised. Only when these checks are complete (it takes
less than a second) the second door opens and the user can enter the
secure area. Detection methods include pressure sensitive two zone mats
and suspended load cells to measure the users weight. The Orthos Swing
is available in different sizes and can be additionally protected from
fire (thirty minute fire rating) and bullets. It is possible to incorporate
explosives detection, metal detection and radio frequency transmission
shielding.
