A night at the dogs An eventful evening was had by all - unfortunately almost everyone came out down, with the collective wallets taking a pounding. Despite this, one man managed to buck the trend with an outrageous punt, and from a measly £2 managed to net over £80. Disgraceful behaviour.
The evening got underway with some complicated betting strategies, the most popular being pick the one with the stupidest name. I still can't for the life of me work out why this did not make us rich.
As the evening progressed, things went from bad to worse for Marc, who came close on several occasions, especially once when he failed to put money on a bet, which then of course came in, leaving this face of utter annoyance as the the only thing he could take away from the track that evening.
Wrong 'un alert - look out for the devil child second from left! (From left to right: Luke Curtis, Asa Curtis, Marc Goodwin and David Waters).
Asa signs off his apparent deal with the devil and gleefully exhibits his outrageous winnings. Never before have I seen a more smug face.
Despite making a loss, everyone managed to grab at least one win. Apart from these three sorry fellows (From left to right: Marc Goodwin, Graham Curtis and Matt Vines)
Not content with just flashing his cash, Asa decides to remind us of his win again, ecept this time in a more unusual and amusing fashion...
