Background
Poppy's Natural Soap has developed over the 3 years since we acquired 'Poppy', our goat.
Her excess milk became the basis of our first soaps.
Handmade
All of our soaps are produced by hand with great care and attention.
From the initial blending , through the cutting, trimming, shaping and drying stages, to the final wrapping, each bar takes at least 4 weeks to produce.
Commercial Soap
Most commercially produced soaps use cheap main ingredients called tallowate [ animal fat], and often contain a chemical cocktail used to colour, preserve and fragrance them. Their use, and the removal of glycerin, can produce a soap that often irritates and dries the skin.
Ingredients
Our main ingredients are principally of vegetable origin and consist of unique blends of sunflower, vegetable, olive, palm, coconut and almond oils, goatsmilk and beeswax.
The highest quality essential and fragrance oils, dried flowers and herbs are specifically chosen for their therapeutic and/or healing properties, their beautiful fragrances or their aesthetic appeal.
Qualities
The cold process method, that we use to make our soaps, produces skin-softening glycerin.
Our vegetable oil soaps are high in glycerin and produce a soft, rich lather.
Poppy's goatsmilk soaps are mild, naturally high in vitamins, and moisturise whilst gently cleansing the skin.
All our soaps are suitable for vegetarians and most are Vegan friendly.
No artificial colours or preservaties are used.
None of our soaps are tested on animals.
Available in 3.5oz [100gm] bars.
