Watercolour ChallengeMon 11/10/99, Channel 4One daytime programme for which I'd happily swap any number of cookery, gardening or home improvement evening shows is Watercolour Challenge. Each day three amateur artists are given a scene to paint, today's was Haddon Hall, and four hours to complete it. The standard of work is normally very good, and with tips from artist and judge I find it interesting to watch how each develops their own view of the same subject. Presenter Hannah Gordon encourages the artists and while they paint presents a short history of the setting. The choice of winner is often surprising although I'm in the I don't know much about art brigade, so I'm not a very good judge... A relaxing and interesting programme... **** Buy the book from the series - Watercolour Challenge by Diana Vowles [The World's Most Death Defying Stunts - The 1900 House - Airline - Armstrong and Miller Show] © 1999 Alan J.
