Registered Guide - Peak District

discover the secrets of this beautiful and fascinating area in a friendly atmosphere

I am an experienced Blue Badge Guide and have been a lecturer in biological subjects for many years.

I live in the Peak District, have a keen interest in local history and a good understanding of the issues surrounding everyday life in the busiest national park in the United Kingdom.

You too can get an insight into the life of Derbyshire, its customs and its history by employing me to enrich your visit.

I have a full first aid certificate and public liability insurance.

Although my family take much of my spare time I spend any leisure moments developing my skills as a botanical artist.

Currently I run heritage holidays for the Peak District National Park Education Service, work with people learning English language skills through the medium of the countryside and lead study tours on a wide variety of topics. I also have a regular programme of guided walks in Peakland towns and villages, give commentaries to visiting coach tours and talks to groups.

Last year my guiding programme took me from Plymouth to Orkney and from Sheffield to Limerick. My customers came from all parts of the U.S.A., Japan, most European countries and of course the United Kingdom.

Use my expertise to enrich your travel experience.

Enjoy the relaxed, informal and enthusiastic help of an expert guide.
