The 'R-Type' stage really.. every shooter of this era had to have one.. lots of tiny gun emplacements are a real pain.. take 'em out with your shield 'smart-bomb'.

Very Giger this level.. with eerie and dimly lit bio-organic structures in the background. A return for these ships from Stage One here.. but this time I've got some nice weaponry with which to greet them.. cool!

All manner of perils lie in wait for you on this stage.. here you can see the vents which shoot boiling gas up-screen.. keep away if you don't want to get ' vapour'-ized.. Hehe geddit?!

A nasty mechanical snake boss lies in wait at the end, it's attack pattern is such that you need to make sure you don't get caught up inside his coils or you're a gonner..
