Accosted by a double-barelled mini-boss
above a forest.. not nice..

All of a sudden these massive airship critters start descending towards you.. this bit feels a bit like Layer Section in reverse..

Onwards to an enemy airfield where trashing baddie gunships before they
take off is the order of the day..

..after which you fly off the edge of a canyon and into the clouds where this mean end-of-stage boss bursts through the cummulostratus to say hello..

Boss fight two is quite tricky, lots of fast moving projectiles raining down at you. Still it is a big flying gun I suppose...

..eventually you get to blast the bosses component parts away to destruction. Onto Stage 3.
