SERVICES FOR VICTIMS OF
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
Position Available
Director of Adult Domestic Violence Services Exempt Position
Reports to Executive Director
Plans and Coordinates client programs and services for adults in shelter and community
Works closely with Director of Children's Services and Director of Sexual Assault
Services
Recruits, trains, provides clinical supervision and evaluates adult direct service staff
Ensures adult groups are planned - recruits volunteer speakers as necessary
Schedules and provides clinical supervision for client review
Works with Resource Development director to effectuate maximum use of volunteers in
shelter
Coordinates professional working relationship with police, other social service
agencies, and other shelters
Keeps current with literature pertinent to shelter programs and services to victims of
domestic violence and sexual assault
Maintains statistical records for adult client services and submits reports as necessary
Ensures completeness and adherence to clinical guidelines of all resident files
Mediates disputes between residents
Performs speaking engagements as necessary
Develops evaluation tools and implements usage to ensure high quality of client services
Teamwork:

nonprofit, the person filling this position may occasionally be required to carry out or
assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed on this job description

Qualifications:
M.S.W. or equivalent
Three years or more of counseling background with related issues
Knowledge of domestic violence/sexual assault issues
