Hospitals and Ambulances

Saudi Arabia does not have Paramedics or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) that come to your rescue when you call for help. The person driving the ambulance is just that, an ambulance driver. He has very little first aid training. There is no 911 telephone number for general emergencies in Saudi Arabia. Instead, Jeddah uses 999 for local POLICE and 997 for the local FIRE DEPARTMENT.
