Shabby chic can mean a lot of things these days. Sometimes it's called 'French Attic' as well.
Both names sum up that sort of distressed pine furniture that looks as if it's been well used, hit with hammers and then scrubbed.
When I started making tiles they were just to use in my own kitchen and on some ancient furniture that had been stripped of paint and dearly needed a bit of a boost.
I think a lot of us have a project like that on the go at some time...you buy something gross from a junk shop intending to 'do it up' and make it really wonderful.
I never managed to  transform anything into a treasure,  but I did find that cleaning and sanding the wood and adding a few tiles here and there worked wonders.
Frames and rims of pots also can look amazing with some small tiles stuck on.

My favourite glazes for this type of work are either shades of green or blue and white. I hope you'll find something nice here to inspire and to stick on your dresser.
If you want anything made especially, just let me know. I don't charge up front, and my prices are very reasonable.

Floral medallions - these are finished in 'Shabby Chic' style but also look Fab in greens or multicolours
