This is my Irish Dancing page here you will find (I hope) useful information about Irish Dancing.

I have been going to Irish Dancing for nearly 6 years now.For all of my dances I am in open .If you don't go to dancing then why not if you do want to join you can find out where your nearest classes are being held on the web.

Another reason to start dancing is that you don't just learn new steps you make loads of new friends & there is feis 's (competitions) for the competitive people out there .

If any of you have seen Irish Dancing dancing shoes you probably think we are nuts for wearing them , they look extremly like scotish dancing shoes they ARE different and so is the dancing .Soft shoes (ghillies) are made of soft leather and the laces kris cross across the shoe.Hard shoes are made also of leather but stiffer and they also have have a heel and block toes .

 

Prices for soft shoes vary from £11 -£20.Prices in the American dollar are ranging from $18.

 

Prices for heavy (hard) shoes vary from £40 to over £100.Prices in the American Dollar are starting at about about $75.
