Description Rhizome: creeping, densely fibrous.

Leaves: solitary, well spaced on rhizome, to ca. 23 cm; cataphylls undescribed; petiole ca. 5 - 11 cm; lamina 10 - 12 cm long x 3 - 4 cm wide.

Peduncle: ± erect, ca. 2 cm long with ca. 5 bracts; flowers solitary.

Perianth [Perigone]: widely campanulate, tube 6 mm long x 12 mm diameter, lobes 8,  purple, densely verrucose, with two deep longitudinal grooves.

Stamens: 8, inserted proximally in perianth tube.

Pistil: mushroom-shaped; style a slender column the top developed into a delicate hemispherical dome-like stigma, 5 - 7 mm long x 8 mm in diameter, shallowly 8-lobed at margin; ovary undescribed.

Fruit: undescribed.

Phenology: undescribed.
