Description Rhizome: creeping, epigeous, short, diameter 5 - 7 mm.

Leaves: [solitary ?] to ca. 50 cm; cataphylls pale red-brown, distally greenish, up to 13 cm long, soon drying; petiole 8 - 10 cm; lamina narrow lanceolate 30 - 40 cm long x 2 - 2.5 cm wide, decurrent, stiffly upright, uniformly  bright green, midrib protruding abaxially.

Peduncle: 0.5 - 1 cm long, with a few small, pale cataphylls; flowers solitary but borne in some profusion. 

Perianth [Perigone]: infundibuliform, 7 - 8 mm long x 10 (- 12) mm diameter, pale outside, purple inside; lobes 6, purple adaxially, ovoid, 4 mm long x 4 mm  wide, smooth, distinctly biseriate.

Stamens: 6, positioned at middle of tube, subsessile, anthers ovoid, 2 mm long.

Pistil: [mushroom-shaped ?]; style basally columnar (3 mm long) developed at the top into a 2 mm thick x  7 mm diameter peltate stigma, adaxial surface white; ovary indistinct.

Fruit: undescribed.

Phenology: flowers November - December.
