Description Rhizome: creeping, 5 mm diameter.

Leaves: solitary, spaced apart 1.5 - 2.5 cm on rhizome, to ca. 60 cm; cataphylls undescribed; petiole strong, (15 -) 30 - 35 cm; lamina obovate-acuminate, 30 cm long x 10 - 11 cm wide.

Peduncle: 0.2 - 0.5 cm, 2 bracts adjacent to perigone, densely embracing perigone tube; flowers solitary.

Perianth [Perigone]: campanulate, purple, 15 mm long; tube 10 mm long x 7 mm diameter; lobes 6, ligulate with rounded tips, somewhat patent, 4 - 5 mm long x 2 mm wide, with two low median keels and at the basal margins with verrucose keels in contact to that of the adjacent lobe.

Stamens: 6, anthers subsessile, linear, at lower third of tube wall, 4.5 mm long x 1.5 mm wide.

Pistil: slender, 10 mm long; style distally gradually widened to stigma, stigma 3 mm diameter, subrotundate, surface smooth; ovary inconspicuous.

Fruit: undescribed.

Phenology: undescribed.
