ON DRUGS FROM 14 YEARS OLD
Ben is in our Drug Treatment Project.
I did six weeks in a young offenders institution
when I was nineteen for burglary.I did the burglary for the money I owed out
and money for drugs.
My drug problem started when I was fourteen and I
began to smoke cannabis.From that point on I just took any drug I was offered.I
began injecting amphetamines when I was sixteen.To come down off the
amphetamines I started taking heroin,just before I was seventeen.I ended up
taking heroin everyday instead of amphetamines.
Since I started using
drugs I have basically stopped everything else.I didn ’t bother trying to
find a job and I didn ’t bother with my family.I just wanted to use drugs
all the time.Drugs basically ruined my life.I have been taking heroin now for
the last six years.
At school I was just not interested.I would play
truant,buy cannabis and get stoned.For the last two years of school I just didn
’t go at all.School didn ’t interest me at all. |
