Not as Cain, who was of the wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him?
Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous" (1 John 3:11-12)

Islam "also advances by demanding the observance of Islamic customs in western societies. The imposition of halal meat is part of that" [source].
"If you get to a stage where all meat is Halal (for the convenience of the retailers), a Muslim can say, 'even Western countries acknowledge that the Quran has the best advice'" [comment at source].
"There is no legal requirement for a retailer to state what type of slaughterhouse the meat comes from. This is why so much meat from halal slaughterhouses is being secretly sold in supermarkets" [comment at source].
"The western world is caving in everyday to Islamic pressure. How can chains upon chains of restaurants be forcing its many patrons to eat halal meat? If anybody wants halal meat they should ... form their own halal restaurants" [comment at source].
"Schools are also serving ritually slaughtered meat to remove the risk of Muslim children eating non-halal food" [source].
"Is everyone contacting their Councils and Councillors to see if schools etc supply ritually/religiously slaughtered meats etc to the children. Instead of us bowing to the minority who threaten to boycott school meals why don't WE threaten to boycott instead. We are the MAJORITY" [comment at source].
"Companies presume, rightly, that observant Muslims will seek out the information (and therefore visit their outlets), while the majority of other consumers will be none the wiser. Efforts to create a conspicuous labelling system have meanwhile been blocked by Left-leaning politicians who say it would discriminate against Muslims and Jews ... In 2011 ... the European Parliament voted down a bill to label food killed via 'non-stun' methods as halal. Months later, the Conservative MP Philip Davies had a similar piece of legislation defeated ... 'My bill said that halal and kosher meat should be labelled at the point of sale. In my naivety, I presumed it would be non-controversial, but it was opposed by the PC brigade in the Labour party ... we are a Christian country. People expect that the majority of meat in the country will be slaughtered in a traditional way, and that halal will be in a minority for people who want to seek it out. But in many areas, it seems halal has now become the default position'" [source].
"With sensitive religions like Buddhism, Judaism, and Hinduism, where the belief is that your mind and soul is deeply influenced by what you eat and therefore strict monitoring of food content is important, how do they feel about their food being acquired through jihad-like decapitation of animals and packed and sold after it's been filled with prayers and supplications to the 'Lord of the Devils' (Muhammad's reference to Allah)? Can't imagine a more insulting and forbidden food content than Halal for these religious groups ... Britain has basically denied the other groups the freedom of religion by forcing them to subjugate to someone else's rituals - a completely forbidden practice in their own religion" [source].
Should Christians Eat Halal Meat?

Halal Meat: What is the Christian Position? (October
"I am opposed to the Islamification of food, so I don't want to buy halal, but it's become very hard to avoid, even if you try. If Muslims want to eat halal, that's absolutely fine. But it should be clearly labelled. The problem is that, as with so many other things, the sensitivity only runs one way. People are being given the choice to choose halal. But they are not being given the choice to avoid it" [Colin Hart, The Christian Institute, quoted at source].
"While Christians are at liberty to consume whatever their conscience permits, Paul expresses a particular concern over 'meat offered to idols' (1 Corinthians 10:14-32). But this assumes that the believer is aware that the meat has been blessed in the name of Allah, who is the greatest. If the Christian is kept in the dark, Paul is rather chilled about the matter until someone comes along and makes the believer aware that the meat was idol-sacrificed. Christians are then exhorted not to eat the meat for their sake: we may eat and drink anything unless and until it causes another to stumble. But no-one is much bothered about the dietary sensitivities of 71% of the population" [source].
"Christians should stop buying Halal altogether and specifically request non-Halal ... 'Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial' (1 Cor 10:23). How is buying Halal and thereby promoting a lot of other evils, including helping enforcement of Sharia ... beneficial for Christians or the society in general?" [comment at source].
"It seems from what the Apostle [Paul] is saying [in 1 Corinthians 8:1-13] that although Christ is bigger than the idols to which the meat is offered, and the meat would not defile the mature believer, nevertheless it is an act of witness to those who are weak to refuse halal meat. The weak may be those young in the [Christian] faith or even those of another faith" [source].
"Halal meats and foods pose ethical questions for each believer, and each must follow their conscience. Do they choose to partake of them? They haven't sinned or worshiped Allah. For me, the issue isn't one of meat sacrificed to idols, but one in which I will never knowingly support industries that support Islam or Islamic doctrine. This is my personal choice and belief ... each believer has to decide for themselves, and there is nothing inherently sinful in eating Halal foods, simply because they were sacrificed to the false god Allah" [comment at source].
"I can eat food that is offered in sacrifice to the false god Allah, for he is an empty idol, and the [Bible] tells me that the idol is nothing of importance" [comment at source].
"Christians are told to avoid eating food that has been sacrificed to idols and to eat for God's glory (1 Corinthians 10:19-33) - how can we do that knowing that the food has been offered to the false god Allah and that it is indirectly supporting terrorism? The issue of not eating food sacrificed to idols is so important to God that in the Bible it is one of the few commands given to Gentile Christians, and God rebuked two churches in the Book of Revelation for eating food sacrificed to idols (Revelation 2:14 and Revelation 2:20)" [source].
"When Paul speaks of 'offence' ... he means causing [someone] to think poorly of the Gospel. For Muslims in particular, if they see Christians acting with no regard to their Christian faith, or not taking it as seriously as they do their Muslim faith, that causes them 'offence' in the Pauline sense" [source].
"For political reasons of the slaughter of Christians by Muslims in the Middle East and parts of Central Asia, Christians should NOT eat halal meat at all but simple non-meat items when partaking a meal with a Muslim family. 1 Corinthians 10:28 explains the principle of meat sacrificed to idols that for the sake of the Muslim family we will not support the slaughter of our brothers and sisters in Christ. We must make our faith and convictions known to the Muslim community in grace and truth that we cannot support the slaughter of those of our faith represented in eating lamb, beef, goat in a Muslim setting" [comment at source].
Why Don't Sikhs Eat Halal Meat? (22 July 2015)
"There is a proliferation of unlabelled halal meat and derived products into the food chain. Consumers are being denied the right to make an informed choice based upon their faith or other beliefs concerning meat from ritually slaughtered animals. This cannot be right and an urgent change is required" [Spokesman for the Sikh Council, quoted at source].
"Sikhs can only eat meat if they are starving to death and the only kind of meat we can eat in a starving to death situation is Jhatka Meat ... But a Sikh can never eat Halal. Halal meat is when a animal is tortured to death" / "Halal prolongs the suffering of the animal" / "[S]cience has shown that during the pain given to the animal whilst being killed in halal way, body releases hormones due to fear, anger and stress and these chemicals going to the meat. Thus affecting [the] eater" [comments at source].
"[T]here are other religious minorities, such as Sikhs, whose faith prohibits them from eating animals that have been ritually slaughtered. Why should one set of religious sensibilities trump another?" [source].
"Sikhs, whose faith strictly and specifically forbids them from consuming animals which have been 'ritually slaughtered'. They currently have no way of telling what meat or ready meals they can or cannot consume" [source].
"Allah is an idol, and meat dedicated to him is meat sacrificed to an idol. Sikhs understand this very well, which is why their religion expressly forbids them from eating halal meat. It also explains why they, and anyone who desires openness and honesty in food labelling, are so disturbed that halal meat is being sold surreptitiously, and is not required to be labelled as such in the UK" [source].
British Sikhs ... constitute 0.7% of the population and their voice will be heard. ... some Sikhs eat meat, not least because one of their gurus is recorded as being a hunter. Yet within the Sikh faith are the 'kurahit' , or prohibitions, one of which is to not eat meat 'killed in the Muslim way' ... it is a sustained article of belief for Sikhs all over the world - they are simply not permitted to eat halal meat at all. If they buy their meat from Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, or M&S, they have been doing so without their knowledge" [source].
"Over here in India, virtually all meat available at supermarkets and restaurants is Halal without any certification warning, including the ones available at chains including Subway, McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut. Gullible people are being force-fed this barbaric piece of medieval history and no-one seems to complain. Most wealthy and middle-class Hindus are vegetarian, and don't care about Halal one way or the other. As someone who loves a thick slab of steak occasionally, I'm left with no choice but to join my vegetarian brethren while they raise a toast to tofu and soy salads. I love meat but being denied my right to humanely slaughtered source of proteins" [comment at source].
Relativism and 'The Pyramid of Rights'
"[T]he sensitivities of Christians and Sikhs and the demands of the animal rights activists are subjugated to the commercial considerations of the slaughterhouses who are pandering to the demands of 4% of the population. At the core of relativism is the pyramid of rights. Various groups vie for these rights appealing for hegemony at the expense of others in a state of flux - an amoral soup - struggling for a place at the top of the pyramid. As far as the nation's meat is concerned, the victor has emerged. But it is not illegal to dupe non-Muslims into buying halal meat, so it is being done on an industrial scale. there is no statutory requirement for stores to label produce 'Slaughtered in the name of Allah, who is the greatest'. Cranmer does not do boycotts. Unless, of course, he feels strongly about a matter. New Zealand has just lost a customer" [source].

"Halal ... is contributing towards the expansion of Islam in our western nations. Also it has been shown that in some countries some of the money from halal is going to support terrorist organisations" [comment at source].
"In purchasing Halal products in general, the funds go to Islamic groups, which all support jihad (whether they use violent, cultural, or political methods). I will never knowingly support Islam by buying Halal products. ... As a moral decision, if a product is labeled with a Halal-based logo, I will buy and use something else. Support of Islam in any form is simply something that I won't knowingly do, as all of Islam is based in Jihad, and Jihad requires the subjugation of anyone who is Kafir (non-Muslim). To participate in my own destruction just strikes me as something obvious to avoid" [comment at source].
"The funds raised go to the support of Islam, and that is not acceptable for me. As there is no peaceable form, and as the religion serves as a very thinly disguised Satan, who is masquerading as Allah, I will refrain from anything that will further his reach, scope, and effectiveness, In addition, Halal slaughter is the most cruel and brutal, which is no surprise, coming from service to the cruel and brutal false god, Allah. Halal foods are such a category for me, and I don't knowingly purchase or eat them" [comment at source].
"The sales of such food products go directly to groups that would try and force Sharia on me and mine. I will never knowingly give money to support the pursuit of Jihad, for Islam IS Jihad. It doesn't matter whether the weapons used are violence, lies and deception, murder, rape, pedophilia, or the promotion of the oppressive system of Sharia. The end goal is the same ... Allah is a base pretender, and I would never give money to any industry that promotes the worship of this false god, and that promotes the subjugation of all who reject him and his pedophile prophet, Mohammed" [comment at source].
"There is an open campaign by Islamic food agencies to integrate halal into the mainstream market and to extend it to non-Muslims. The World Halal Forum held its annual conference in London earlier this month (November), and has identified the UK as a pilot project for halal in Europe... The spread of halal is often part of the commitment to Islamic mission (dawa) and the Islamisation of non-Muslim societies. The imposition of sharia practices on non-Muslims may be interpreted as an act of Islamic supremacy" [The Barnabas Fund, quoted at source].
"[R]itually/religiously slaughtered meats to be strictly labelled ... The Zakat tax can then be paid by those choosing to buy it and support Islam as this tax goes solely to Islam" [comment at source].
"Why Boycott Halal? It's an inhumane and barbaric way to kill animals ... A percentage of the profits from this trillion dollar industry ends up in the hands of terrorist groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas ... Stop the Islamisation of the West ... Stop the spread of Sharia (Islamic law, of which halal ritual slaughtering is a part)" [source].

"It is true that some Halal abattoirs do use stunning before cutting the throat. However, within Islam, the principle of taqiyya means that Muslims are at liberty to deceive non-Muslims for the furtherance of Islam. There is a half-truth being deployed here. The stunning they use is the inadequate 'stun to stun' type, not the more humane 'stun to kill', which vets recommend. The half-truth is that they are trying to convince non-Muslims that these abattoirs are behaving humanely, when in fact that y are falling well short of the requirement to behave humanely. We should be campaigning against 'stun to stun'. ... With 'stun to stun' the animal can regain consciousness before all the blood has drained, and so it can still experience pain and distrress" [comment at source].
