One very notable aspect of this jihadist massacre has been the description - by such as the BBC, Barak Obama, and Hillary Clinton - of those targeted as 'Easter Worshippers'.
This is most odd considering that Easter is not a Christian, but a pagan, festival, and, w
hilst it is true that those murdered in this attack were Roman Catholics, not biblical Christians,
neither the BBC, Obama, nor Clinton (or the Muslim suicide bombers) would make that distinction, and so were deliberately attempting to de-humanise Christians per se.
Please see
here for more on Easter and the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Massacre of the Innocents  (26 April 2019)

"How are Christians to understand the merciless slaughter of those who were celebrating the Risen Christ in churches last Sunday? Is there anything in the Bible that leads us to an understanding of what is happening in our world today? ... The terrible attacks on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka are still very much in our minds, but it is notable how quickly they disappeared from the Western media or were relegated to personal stories of those who lost family members. It took a long time for major news agencies to report that those who were responsible for these terrorist attacks were Islamic fanatics ... and our leaders and reporters have generally been reluctant to call the attacks what they were: Muslims attacking Christians. By contrast, the Western media maintained focus for many days upon the Christchurch mosque murders carried out by a white Australian..."

Clinton, Obama, and the Left's Contempt for Christians  (25 April 2019)

"Pew Research confirms that Christians are the most persecuted religious group in the world. So when I saw Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama refer to murdered Sri Lankan Christians in their sympathy tweets as 'Easter Worshippers', I was disgusted. It sickened me. Who are you, I wondered, to be so disrespectful? They cannot even use the term Christian, such is their disdain for us as a group, because for the Left Christians are the ones that do all the persecuting and can never be the victims ... But I shall try not to dwell in these two odious characters..."

Sri Lanka Massacre Part of 'Ugly, Predictable Pattern' of Christian Persecution  (25 April 2019)

"The author of a major study on worldwide Christian persecution said that the tragedy of the recent slaughter of Christians in Sri Lanka is how unsurprising it is ... While world leaders like Angela Merkel declare that the attacks are 'shocking', [John L. Allen, Jr.,] wrote, in reality, 'the shocking thing about the carnage is that it is not shocking - and instead forms part of an ugly, predictable global pattern'. Although Christians today are the most persecuted religious community on the planet, much of the persecution goes unreported in the western media..."

Death for Death's Sake  (24 April 2019)

"The aftermath of the attacks in Sri Lanka capture Western liberal elites' cageyness about morally and politically confronting the new barbarism. There has been no talk of fascism and hatred and out moral responsibility to stand up to these things, as there was after the mosque massacres in Christchurch. There has been no emergence of a Christian solidarity movement, in contrast with the numerous, and correct, cries of solidarity made to Muslims after Christchurch. Indeed, focus too much on Islamist [sic] terrorism these days and you risk being accused of Islamophobia. 'Christians used to do this kind of thing', they will say, inaccurately, in order to deflect attention from their own unwillingness to take a strong moral stance on Islamist [sic] extremist [sic] violence..."

A World at War Against Christians  (24 April 2019)

"The most shameful aspect of [the governing classes'] careless, even callous, attitude to anti-Christian persecution is that they have adopted the fashionable view of Christianity as 'anti-science', responsible for 'all the wars in history', for sexism and the repression of minorities. They ignore the fact that of all religious groups today Christians are the most persecuted, because it spoils the narrative of Christians as persecutors..."

Where's the Solidarity for Sri Lanka's Christians?  (24 April 2019)

"The differences in tone and nature between the condemnations of the Christchurch and Sri Lanka terrorist attacks are striking. After Christchurch, there was no hesitation about stating the religious backgrounds of the victims and directing emotion and affection towards Muslim communities, Politicians took no issue with categorising the events in Christchurch as terrorism. In contrast, the words 'terrorism' and 'Christianity', along with their associated terms, have so far failed to feature in much of the reaction to the attacks in Sri Lanka ... The fact is that the persecution and victimisation of Christians continues to take place in many parts of the world, often at the hands of Islamists..."

Will the New Zealand PM Don a Headscarf in Support of Islam after Sri Lanka?  (23 April 2019)

"This time in Sri Lanka the victims are very deliberately Christians, so they won't even get an insipid 'Je suis Sri Lanka'. The obscurantist's mission is to never report the evil of the left or the Islamic threat ... Will the New Zealand PM ... come out and show some respect for the Christians who were slaughtered by [Islam]? There will be no virtue signalling points for her or the left so the actuality of the ideology that [spawned] these jihadis hardly made the news when news came out of who was behind it. The reporting on this event is best summarised with the words of Rep Omar - 'Some people did something' in churches in Sri Lanka on April 21st..."

Trust the Muslims  (22 April 2019)

"Muslims have earned the right to be trusted. Perhaps not in everything they say or do, but whenever there are warnings that they might blow something up, we must take such warnings on faith. Sri Lankan authorities didn't. The police there were warned about the impending attacks a fortnight in advance, but did nothing..."

Sri Lanka, Christchurch, Islam and Double Standards  (22 April 2019)

"[I]t is worth asking a few hard questions, especially given the earlier shootings in Christchurch. We all know how the world reacted to that tragedy. Politicians, the media, and our elites all competed with one another as to who could be seen to be the most one with, and supportive of, all things Islam. With the Christchurch killings we had nonstop media coverage. We had Western leaders becoming dhimmis and wearing head coverings and saying Islamic prayers in parliament, and so on. But things seem all rather different when the killings are in fact Islamic jihad attacks and the victims are Christians. MUCH different..."

'Wrong Victims' Leftists Attacked for Weak Response to Islamic Easter Terror Attack  (22 April 2019)

"Leftists have been slammed on social media, for failing to strongly condemn the attacks on Christians in Sri Lanka over the Easter weekend. Many compared coverage and responses to the New Zealand attacks, in which headscarves were donned, and we saw days of attacks [on] right and far-right, and even right-wing media ... It seems the world is only bothered when it doesn't affect their globalist agenda ... This attack ... is the latest in a long line of attacks committed by Islamic terrorists specifically targeted against Christians, with other attacks happening this year in Nigeria, Burkina Faso and the Philippines..."

Social Media v Mainstream Media  (22 April 2019)

"Mohamad Tawhidi, the Australia-based 'Imam of Peace', has been tweeting updates on the Sri Lanka terrorist attacks ever since news of them broke, and I've been following him ever since. Why? Because he's been telling the story of the attacks in a very different way to mainstream media outlets like the BBC..."

Terror Attack on Christians - BBC Looks the Other Way  (22 April 2019)

"According to the BBC 'no one was expecting this' and 'officials say it is too early to say who is behind it'.  This was not, however, the conclusion reached by Agence France Presse, whose simultaneous report stated tat although there were no immediate claims of responsibility, 'documents seen by AFP show that Sri Lanka's police chief Pujuth Jayasundara issued a intelligence alert to top officers ten days ago, warning that suicide bombers planned to hit 'prominent churches'. ... Checking other news outlets, I found that AFP was not alone in reporting this information. The Telegraph included it in a report of 11.22am, as did numerous other organisations. Not, though, the BBC..."

Start the Week Open Thread  (22 April 2019)

"The slaughter of Christians by Muslims continues to be under reported by the BBC and the rest of the main stream media. Yet even the slightest incident involving Muslims as victims get the full treatment. I'm sure the BBC could explain this - surely?"

Christians Under Attack Worldwide At a Rapidly Rising Rate  (22 April 2019)

"[A]pproximately 11 Christians [are] dying every day for their faith ... Whereas international organisers tracking attacks against Christians a generation ago concentrated on the officially atheistic Soviet Union, today the focus is on militant and extremist Muslim factions ... Jeff King, president of International Christian Concern, an advocacy group for persecuted Christians, said one reason news of attacks on Christians don't spread widely in the U.S. is because major press outlets are populated with 'secularists' who ... are not interested in Christians. Former President Barak Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received criticism Monday over their Twitter messages in response to the Sri Lanka attacks that referred to victims as 'Easter worshippers' instead of 'Christians'.  Mr. King said he had been buoyed by the response from the Trump administration, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who has 'really invested in trying to help the plight of persecuted Christians'..."

Sri Lanka, Jihadist Massacres, and Western Denial  (21 April 2019)

"By now you should have heard about the deadly Islamic attacks on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka. Mind you, the mainstream media coverage was once again rather thin, but nevertheless the Easter Sunday attacks were some of the worst in quite a while. And given jihad attacks are a daily occurrence, that is saying something ... This is the work of devout and dedicated Muslims. Slaughtering innocent Christians on their most holy day is par for the course., But the media prefers to ignore all this, or play down the perpetrators of this violence..."

Sri Lanka Terror: Who Did It?  (22 April 2019)

"Despite the efforts of much of the media to suggest Buddhists may be responsible, the logical conclusion drawn by most people was that this has all the hallmarks of an Islamic attack. The claim from Sky News that it may have been in response to the 'white supremacist attack in Christchurch' is highly unlikely, such an attack will have been many months in the planning, long before Christchurch. It is also illogical to target a non-white country if revenge against 'white supremacy' was the motive ... Unlike the horrific Christchurch attack, this wasn't a true lone wolf with a warped ideology ... A self created ideology by a lunatic is very different to huge groups of people following what they perceive as an instruction manual to kill 'non believers' ... inventing a 'far right' narrative as somehow equal to the constant jihadi death-toll is reckless..."

Radical Islam Marks Easter  (21 April 2019)

"The media seem curiously reluctant to name the culprits. Which group, we wonder, might single out this gathering of Christians for intended carnage? What sort of people HATE Christians with such maniacal and murderous intent? Well, whilst the BBC and others remain tight-lipped, the facts are emerging pretty quickly..."

Terrorist Attack on Churches Sees Scores of People Killed in Sri Lanka  (21 April 2019)

"Explosions have been carried out across several churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday morning, killing at least 138 people and injuring more than 500 it has been reported..."

In the past we've been told not to associate terrorist attacks with the ideology of the terrorists. Easter Worshippers

A reader's comment from the article here.

"Easter worshipers:  This started in Europe and England. Their main place of worship now is Stonehenge. Their main festival is when the sun is mid spring and summer equinox in the northern hemisphere, which is around mid April. These people were heavily persecuted in Europe, and consequently fled to a remote island in the Pacific. This is now Easter island. The stone statues of faces pointed to the sun is the equivalent of Stonehenge lines. Modern scholars call these people Easter worshipers."

When Will We Wake Up to Islam?

An Extended Extract from the Article Barcelona Terror: When Will We Wake Up to Islam?

"Every time another one of these horrific and diabolical terror attacks takes place, I have to repeat a few simple truths. Let me do so again:

  • We have a major problem with Islam;

  • Islam is a political ideology which brooks no rivals;

  • While there may well be many moderate Muslims, Islam is NOT moderate;

  • Islam according to its own sources is a bloodthirsty religion which commands the death of the infidels;

  • The West is under deliberate, sustained attack by this violent ideology;

  • Yet most Western leaders are living in denial. They refuse to even acknowledge that we have a problem with Islam;

  • They far prefer to ramble on about things like 'Islamophobia' than the actual issues facing us;

  • As such, these leaders are complicit in these terror attacks;

  • Until the West wakes up and acknowledges that there is a sworn enemy of the West out there, ever at work, these attacks will simply continue;

  • The time for making excuses for Islam is now over. We must take this threat seriously. Failure of Western leaders to do so is an act of treason.

"And every time one of these attacks takes place, I also quote some shocking statistics. These numbers alone should wake up every single one of us, but so far they seem to be falling on deaf ears. So I will continue to run with these horrific figures. Since September 11, 2001, there have been 31,590 deadly Islamic terror attacks carried out.

"Did you get that?"

[End of Extract].

The Curse of Cain

"After Cain killed his brother, the Lord told him, ... 'Cursed shall you be from the earth', ... and so it has been. The earth under their feet may be cursed, it yields nothing but sand and thistles, ... They become worshippers of death dreaming of the green verdant fields of paradise which they can reach only if they kill enough men, women and children. Leaving devastation behind them, dead lands, lost cultures, widows and orphans, they claw their way up to heaven on a ladder of bones. Everything around them dies until the only green is on their flags. They are cursed from the earth and they curse the earth. Where they go, the world dies. ... Cain sows fields of corpses of the innocent for the Lord and he still does not understand why his sacrifice is not accepted and why the earth he dwells on is cursed. ...  From Iraq to Iran, from Kuwait to Saudi Arabia, from Nigeria to Somalia, from Pakistan to Indonesia, he holds up human heads and cries 'Allahu Akbar'. ... There is no room for Cain anywhere. Where he remains there will be death and suffering. He will kill because it is all he can do. He has nothing else to offer the world, his own kind, or the Creator.. ... He kills from one end of the world to the next and it is never his fault. Each time, each Abel did it. ... His code is cruelty and his holy book is written in blood on the flayed skins of his murdered victims. ... The cries of peoples long vanished from the earth warn us that we will either drive out Cain or his curse will fill our lands with blood and dust and all that we love and all that we have worked for will die at his cursed touch" [source].

The Burden Which Habakkuk the Prophet Saw

The righteous cry out for God's punishment of the injustice in their lands:
O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
Why dost thou show me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

The LORD God answers:
Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwelling places that are not theirs.
They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.
Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves:
And their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.
They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.
And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.

The dismay of the righteous at God's answer:
Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die.
O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.
Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity:
Wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.
Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

The LORD God's reassurance to the righteous:
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

[Habakkuk 1:1-2:4]
