White
2012 Chenin Blanc Reserve, Ken Forrester Wines
Full bodied and well rounded with a complex structure. Bursting with flavours of dried apricots, pineapple and hints of vanilla and honey that last long on the finish.
2012 Sauvignon Blanc, Iona Wines
This wine has a wonderfully aromatic nose showing fine mineral notes, hints of herbs, leaves and a touch of gooseberry fruit. The palate is extremely well balanced with classic sauvignon characters of gooseberry and grapefruit and a long, fine, minerally finish. Very stylish and polished.
2011 Chardonnay, Thelema
Has a rich, bright, golden yellow hue and an aromatic, complex nose of lime marmalade, guava and melon fruit and toasty oak nuances. The palate is medium to full bodied and rounded, packed with luscious tropical fruit flavours, a delicious mineral streak and well integrated, nutty oak which lends a creamy texture in the mouth. Finishes soft and succulent.
Red
2010 Sutherland Pinot Noir, Thelema
The wine is light and clean, with earthy wild strawberry and raspberry flavours, and a perfumed and elegant finish.
2010 Pinotage, Martin Meinert
Full bodied and elegant yet it has richness on the mid-palate. The emphasis is put on fruit
flavours through gentle extraction methods.
2007 Synchronicity, Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Pinotage, Martin Meinert
A big rich wine from South Africa that emanates wild berry and sweet plum aromas. Silky, velvety texture and elegance in the mouth that counterpoints its power.
2008 One Man Band, Iona
The wine shows cool climate freshness and a surprising intensity, with spice and gentle game notes. It is layered with fragrant sweet, ripe cherry and blackberry flavours, with underlying almond and white pepper tones. The palate is seamless, sleek and polished, with firm, ripe tannins. The wine was aged in French oak barrels (25% new) for 12 to 18 months.
