This evening was a comparison of better vintages from lesser appelations and poorer vintages from better appelations. On balance, terroir won out over year.

2008 Chateau Penin Grande Selection, Bordeaux Superieur

2009 Chateau Penin Les Cailloux, Bordeaux Superieur
