30th Anniversary Meeting
Vince Fusaro, a director of Luvians
Bottle Shop, who have shops in Cupar and St Andrews, presented wines
to highlight the differences that result from terroir and vintage.
All the wines were from Chateau des Jaques, (which is owned by Louis
Jadot) in Moulin à Vent in the Beaujolais region.
All the wines were made from 100% Gamay grapes.
The wines were:
Clos de Thorins 1998 and 2002. The soil in the vineyard is sand and clay
Clos de Rochegrès 1999, 2002 and 2003. The soil here is granitic.
Champ de Cour 2000. In this vineyard the soil is deep and sandy with
a little clay.
Information on the wines can be found on the Louis
Jadot website.
