Martini Asti Spumante
Producer: Martini & Rossi
Country/ Region: Piedmonte, Italy
Grape(s): Moscato Bianco
Supplied by: Waitrose
Tasting Note
Intense, lightly aromatised with scents of fresh grape, melon, peach
and brioche. Sweet, smooth, intense and elegant in the mouth with good
aromas of fresh fruit, like pears and pineapple and a harmonious finish.
Perfect with Italian desserts like Panna Cotta Panettone or with fruit
salad.
Chateau de Lardiley 2007
Country/ Region: Loupiac, France
Grape(s): 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Gris
Supplied by: Markinch Wine Gallery
Tasting Note
It is unctuous and very fruity with complex aromas of acacia and toast.
Smooth in the mouth with a lot of freshness. A wine which ages well
and is matured for two years before being bottled. These fresh, delicate
wines are a perfect aperitif. They leave a nice, fresh impression in
the mouth. Perfect with foie gras, poultry, white meat, cheese and fruit
desserts.
C Podere Casale I° - Vin Santo del Chianti DOC
2003
Producer: Riccardo Falchini
Country/ Region: San Gimignano, Italy
Grape(s): Malvasia and Trebbiano
Supplied by: Raeburn Fine Wines
Tasting Note
Vin Santo del Chianti Podere Casale I is a somewhat restrained, mid-weight
dessert wine with attractive fruit, well-delineated aromatics and moderate
levels of sweetness. This is a Vin Santo that clearly emphasizes a fresher
style, as opposed to some of the more overt, oxidative wines readers
will come across. The balance, length and overall sense of harmony are
all first-rate.
Muscat de Beaumes de Venise 2007
Producer: Perrin et fils
Country/ Region: Muscat de Beaumes de Venise
Grape(s): Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains
Supplied by: Raeburn Fine Wines
Tasting Note
Made with the finest version of Muscat - Muscat Blanc à Petits
Grains - this dessert wine has exceptional, intense aromas of peach,
table grapes, apricot and rnango, with hints of lychee. It is full,
velvety and quite sweet, but beautifully balanced by a seam of acidity.
Enjoy with fruit-based desserts.
Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos 1999
Producer: Tokaj Classic Winery Ltd
Country/ Region: Tokaj, Hungary
Grape(s): Furmint and Hárslevelü
Supplied by: Markinch Wine Gallery
Tasting Note
Sweet with nutty, mature rounded peach & apricot fruit character.
Great balancing acidity. Has the structure to last another 10 years
but is already drinking well.
Clean smoky nose. Very elegant. Great depth of fruit.
The seductive nose of apricots, butterscotch and quince through to the
unctuous palate, intensely honied and rich, yet with a fine seam of
balancing acidity, this wine is little short of 'liquid gold'.

Supplied by: Markinch Wine Gallery
Tasting Note
Brilliant golden colour with gold straw hue. Aroma of spice, honey,
lernon and honeycomb with lychee end notes. Rich luscious palate flavours,
showing superb viscosity and depth. Concentrated flavours of lychee,
spice and honey over a honey lernon background, with hints of ripe raisin
on the back palate. Long aftertaste of lemon, spice, lychee, honey and
loquat.
