FP in Holiday Mood !

Fawcett, Poustie and Flood are about to meet up in April to go on their bi-annual holiday in Thailand. To celebrate the event the band has released a brand new single Going on Holiday (2007), which is available to download exclusively at FP.com !

Going on Holiday (2007) is the first song to be released from the band's forthcoming album of re-recorded classics, which has been in the works for a couple of years now, and remains tentatively titled, Deluxe with a Christmas release planned.

The Poustie-penned classic was originally released on the 1996 album FRAMED II and the 2007 version remains true to the original in spirit and style: fresh, fun'n'funky !

Work continues on Deluxe with Fawcett hoping to complete his vocal parts on the epic If I Was a Poet before joining up with Poustie and Flood in Thailand.

Colorado Pips was completed earlier in the year, featuring Emma Fawcett on lead vocals, reprising the role of the Colorado girl, first performed by Vanessa Green on the 1994 release. Bally Rotters insiders who have heard the new version of Pips say that it is something of a marvel !

While the band has no plans on releasing an album of new material this year, they will no doubt be discussing plans for the completion of Deluxe when they meet up in April as well as coming up with ideas for the next studio album, tentatively due in 2008.
