different areas of the photo to see other views of the display  The Blue Angels are quite simply unique amongst all the world's aerial demonstration teams. They are the longest-surviving of any team in history, from their humble propellor-driven beginnings in 1946, to the present day. Only the Patrouille de France and the USAF Thunderbirds come close to matching the Blue Angels longevity, but even they were both formed in 1953, by which time the Blue Angels were already on their fourth different type of aircraft ! Our model display includes an example of every display aircraft the team has flown throughout their distinguished history, as well as many of the support and transport aircraft assigned to the team during that time.
