2003 was quite an historic year !

It's not often that so many important anniversaries fall together, but at Scale Modelworld 2003, we celebrated 100 years of powered flight, 50 years of the U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds, 50 years of the Patrouille de France, 40 years of IPMS - and our own anniversary, 10 years of the Aerobatic Display Teams S.I.G.

We are also extremely pleased that this display won us 2nd prize in the "Best S.I.G. Display" competition !

	The central theme for the display - 50 Years of both the USAF Thunderbirds and the Patrouille de France.
	The left section of the 'main body' of the display - concentrating on European teams.
	The right section of the 'main body' - U.S. and 'rest of the world' teams.
The whole display was presented on an area of approximately 18 feet x 4.5 feet (5.8m x 1.5m) of table space. There are a total of 149 models on the entire display, all but one in 1/72nd scale. They were all built by 12 of our members.
