'£10m ITV HIT LIST Bosses target Beeb stars after Kemp coup'  was Matthew Wright's headline today.

'Bosses at ITV have built up a £10 million slush fund to use for future raids on the BBC's big-name stars.  After snatching EastEnders hunk Ross Kemp, spies at Network Centre tell me they have now drawn up a hit-list of the Beeb's hottest talent'.    Michael Greco alias heart throb Beppe - is believed to be included and have already lured away Michelle Collins.

'Concerned EastEnders boss Matthew Robinson admits there is little he or the BBC can do to stop ITV swooping: "It is well-known in this business that if you've got talent, the other side will try to poach it," he confessed'

'"If ITV does come to Albert Square with millions of pounds, then there is little we can do to stop people leaving."'

A BBC source was told Matthew that the Corporation was desperately trying to cling on to the few big names they have left and that they had to work fast to stop his pal Steve McFadden leaving too.
