The News of the World Sunday Mag  14th March 199

"I'm still getting my rocks off" was the headline for the cover story in this weeks mag.

'" I may be past 60, but I still want to have sex!" declares Barbara Windsor at the suggestion that she's over the hill.  "People my age do still have sex you know. I've got plenty of friends over 60 who are horny, attractive women with very active sex lives."'

The colourful article is packed with her feelings about characters on the soap and not having children.  'She's got a great job, a gorgeous boyfriend, a super sex life - and works with some of TV's most attractive men.  "I'm a very lucky lady and I love the people I work with, " she says.  "I think Mike Reid is a very attractive man. He's got charisma, and I find him extremely sexy."'

Barbara goes on to say that when people ask whether Ross Kemp and Steve McFadden (Grant and Phil) are like surrogate sons, she reply "No way! - although Ross does call me mum," she laughs

'Unlike Peggy, Barbara has never had children, even though her ex-husband Ronnie Knight - who was cleared of murder in 1980 - was keen to be a dad.  "I remember years ago when Ronnie wanted kids, I went to the doctor and he asked me whether I really wanted children.  I told him I didn't. At that time, I had given my whole life to Ronnie, and didn't have anything left to give a baby."'

Article rating 9/10 Excellent stuff.
