Miss Gillian Taylforth

Said to be born 14/8/55 Gillian was one of the many famous actresses who spent their youthful evenings at the Anna Scher Theatre. Apart from playing one of the members of the 'Beale' family since the very start of EastEnders in 1985, Kathy married Phil Mitchell, which is why Gillian has been chosen to be included in this month's profiles.

Gillian started her career in the 1970's with the likes of Kathy Burke, Pauline Quirk, Linda Robson etc. She attended the Anna Scher Theatre with her sister Kim. After acquiring various roles, Kim went on to be a Policewoman in the Metropolitan Police force but her sister stayed in acting.

The role's Gillian won were mainly in TV but in 1980,Gillian won the role of  'Sherry' in "The Long Good Friday" which prove to be extremely successful in the box office.  In 1985 a little TV soap started on the BBC which would change Gillian's life and the life of millions of people all over the world forever, EastEnders. Gillian played the part of Kathy and developed the character to be a strong, ambitious lady. Kathy brought forward many serious issues, rape, teenage pregnancy, divorce, alcoholism in the family, meningitis which touched the hearts of many. Gillian's own life hasn't been without it's ups and downs but like her well loved character, Gillian has held her own and won through her troubles.  She wrote a book in 1995 called 'Kathy and Me' in which she explains all... (AAS Online will be doing a review shortly). Experiences has made Gillian, (like many of the cast) an extremely private person.  Today, she lives happily in Hertfordshire with her boyfriend Geoff Knights, their daughter Jessica and their new baby.

Life Path for people born 14/8/55 in London

LIFE-PATH:

Professional
You have a talent for dealing with people. Your social nature combined with a fine aesthetic judgement gives you the opportunity to excel professionally in areas where good taste and an ability to weigh things in the balance are needed. This can vary from creative pursuits dealing with music or objects of beauty, to consultancy or dealing with personnel. You are strongly motivated to create peace and harmony around you, and will often find yourself taking the middle position between warring parties. As a natural diplomat, you will be appreciated by those you come into contact with. Some may feel you are manipulative, but most people benefit from your genuine concern for their well-being. At crucial times in your life, you may appear to be indecisive. You can agonise about taking a decision, and no amount of information gathering will help you. Ultimately you take decisions on an intuitive level.

Personal
This aspect is extremely powerful in your horoscope; it will dominate many areas of your life.
When reading the following description, please bear in mind that you are a fast learner and overcome any difficulties involved very quickly. You can expect to use this aspect constructively and harmoniously.
If you have this influence powerfully evoked by other factors in your horoscope, you will be deeply affected by spiritual issues, and constantly seeking to refine your consciousness. At these times you are likely to experience great personal disorientation and confusion, as old dreams and visions are replaced by new, deep psychological insights. Inner growth will have major priority in intimate relationships. During periods of your life you will undergo deep transformations in which your fantasy and imagination will play a powerful role. It is essential to learn to use your imagination in a positive way by learning about the power of the unconscious.
