Under 10's Match Reports / Under 10's Pen Pics / Under 10's Archive
Chesterfield Ladies have consistently run an Under 10's side since 1992 when
they first entered a team in Mansfield Council girls 5 a side competition.
Since then girls of that age have been welcomed to the Club and are now
registered to play in the Yorkshire Electricity League. The league organises
approximately one 7 a side tournament a month for this age group which is
hosted in various venues throughout the league's catchment area.

Mark Grayling is the Under 10's Coach, he has an FA Coaching Certificate and
experience of working with this age group through Football in the Community
Schemes at Leyton Orient. He is assisted by Martin Croft and Simon Clements,
both of whom have daughters playing in this age group. He has also recently
recruited 6 year old Nicola Ebbage to the squad so that her mum can come down
and do her bit as well.
The Under 10's is arguably the most important age group at the Club as it is
here that habits for a lifetime in football are developed. The Club, therefore
is currently in the process of developing a strategy for expanding this age
group as well as providing a sound coaching base for the future.
