The Three
Relationships
Each of the four one-eyed churches clearly has
a grasp of part of what being God's church is about. The whole task can be
summed up by focusing on three relationships:
1. Our relationship with God.
2. Our relationship with each other as fellow
disciples.
3. Our relationship with others.

God-given calling when it is active in a significant way within all these three
areas of relationship.
The three relationships can be set down as the
three corners of a triangle or perhaps better as three intersecting circles:
What clues are there in the Bible and in the
Christian tradition to help us understand these three relations?
