These five stages represent a common, if not invariable, sequence in the growth or renewal of life in a local congregation.

Score band 4-6     STAGE ONE

"The church is the building"

Score band 7-9     STAGE TWO

"The church is the Vicar"

 

Score band 10-13     STAGE THREE

"We help the Vicar to be the church"

Score band 14-17 STAGE FOUR

"We are the church"

 

Score band 18-20     STAGE FIVE

"We are part of God’s church"
