we published last year, to make it available to the general public.
Managing a pilot project for the teaching of French to pre-school
children in a state-owned nursery in Scotland (Kingsland Primary

Borders Council, The Scottish Executive. The project has nearly
reached its completion and a full report will be available after
this summer from Le Français en Ecosse and The Scottish executive.
More funding is being sought to carry on the experiment with the
same children next year.

RECENT
PROJECTS
Trip
to France: last February, we organised a trip to France for 12 children
aged 5 to 7 and their parents. We spent a week with French host
families in the Alps and the children went to local primary school
every day. The benefit for the children (attending one of our weekly
after-school clubs) has been tremendous and we are now looking for
e-mail friends.
World
Cup 1998 : coaching BBC Scotland sports journalists covering
the World Cup, and creating special classes for the " Tartan Army
".
The initiative was sponsored by Tennent's Lager.
