She brings all these one at a time teasing him and arousing him still
further - then it's perfumed oil she needs; when Cinesias objects to the
fuss, she goes back for a different scent. By now she's shed most of her
clothes - and her husband can't stand much more delay. That's when she
pops back into the Acropolis for good, reminding him about making peace.
Cinesias is devastated - as the old men try to console him, with their
fantasies.
Enter two men who are finding walking a problem - one from Athens (the
magistrate we met previously) and one from Sparta, who says he's come
to ask for peace. What does the Spartan claim to have under his cloak?
A scytale?

A spear?

A sword?
