You have been told how to avoid the Sirens who lure sailors to their death with their beautiful, irresistible songs. You want to have your cake as well as eating it, so you get the sailors to strap you to the mast, while they row swiftly past with their ears plugged with beeswax. You gesture to them to release you - but they do as you'd instucted and tie you up more tightly. Soon that danger is past …
