The great reunion : Telemachus meets Odysseus at last!

Of course it's Telemachus - dropped ashore on the other side of Ithaca to fool the suitors. Eumaeus welcomes him "like a long-lost son" (irony!). You haven't seen him since he was a baby. He'd like to welcome you to the palace, but can't because of the Suitors. He sends Eumaeus to tell Penelope that he's safe - Athena then appears to you alone, restores your youthful vigour (temporarily) and tells you to reveal yourself to yor son. Together you must now plot the Suitors' destruction. The reunion is a touching moment, but there are plans to be made. Telemachus explains the problem. There are 108 Suitors and only two of you.

But you know your cause is just: you will have Athena and Zeus on your side. Telemachus will now go home. You will follow in your beggar's disguise, and get inside the palace somehow. When you give the nod, Telemachus is to make an excuse to remove all the weapons from the hall, and hide some handily for the two of you. From now on the two of you will work together : before you continue you can discover what your son has been up to.

WHO IS THE FIRST PERSON TO RECOGNISE YOU WHEN YOU REACH THE PALACE?
