Working in the Product Development Department to identify and
implement new services on the confetti web site. Main responsibilities
included defining requirements for new projects, defining navigation
and user interfaces, liasing between designers, producers and
developers, managing development projects from initiation to launch.
Managing technical and user testing. On joining I created a system
for identifying, implementing and managing developments.

October 1997 to June 2000 Operations Manger with EMAP Construct.

for identifying and implementing development.

for building, layout and updating of sites using HTML and web
editors.

for commissioning and editing large parts of site content.

responsible for creating and implementing new services on site.

for design of all sites, building templates and maintaining
constant look.
- Responsible
for online marketing of site and increase of traffic. In the
month of January 1998 around 1,000 visitors came to the site.
This had increased to 24,000 in January 1999.

with marketing department to plan advertising campaigns in print
media.

as designer as part of a small team comprising an electronic
publisher, database administrator and myself to co-ordinate
effective strategies for the site.
- Involved
in planning to maximise revenue from the site.

with and advising other members of company on the best strategies
for maximising the potential of the internet for their magazines.

ACTIVITIES
AND INTERESTS
My interests
include walking, art and architecture. I also enjoy hill and rock
climbing particularly in the Lake District where I visit at least
once a year for this purpose. I am very interested in art design
and I enjoy learning about and working on design projects outside
work.
