Code Dubious Win32 C code.

All the code and ideas described in these pages are guaranteed 100% iffy, so don't blame me if they don't work. There'll be no C++ round these parts though squire, nice one. Or Visual Basic. Oof.

Here's some code and example programs for a couple of things that you might find useful.
Code for creating 'proper' Win32 screen savers
A library to handle JPEG, GIF and BMP files
Using a tree control in C (without MFC)
A quick example of how to use the WinInet APIs

A quick 'n' dirty (but simple) way to access the registry
How to use a progress bar, easy-peasey
Getting an application to appear in the system tray
Setting the wallpaper from your application
Changing the icon associated with a dialog box
