Dear Andrew
It might be interesting for your readers to know that my family here in Kortrijk, Belgium had enjoyment in the 1950s with a bicycle fitted with a small British engine. A photograph of my auntie and uncle, Eva and Ken Evaals, shows the engine is upside down and rubbing the back tyre [a Power Pak, presumably - Editor]. Eve and Ken Evalls are famous for leaping; stories say they would race down a high hill, up a wooden plank, then fly over a cart of hay. Many times they did this for fun or for friends, but stopped when Auntie Eva missed the plank.
Best wishes
Walter Evaals.
