The Day After The Night Before Run

Carl Squirrel

3rd February 2002

Just a brief note of thanks to all those who turned out to help me celebrate my 40th Birthday.  We had a grand total of 23 machines and riders from a Cyclemaster to a Honda ST1100 Pan European.

There were a considerable number of Hondas, including a machine from the Mark Daniels stable entered as a Honda Mercurette, which raised a few eyebrows!  We all enjoyed a good run to the Cratfield Poacher where we were made very welcome (and invited to return in the Summer), and we then returned to Badingham Village Hall where we enjoyed a fine buffet - and Birthday Cake - prepared by my better half Debbie, her mother Joyce and our good friend Celia.  Celia's husband Will made a hasty dash to Cratfield to rescue Ray Gibb, but the less said the better, eh, Ray?

Trophies were awarded to the following:

Once again, many thanks to everyone who helped, especially Billy Doy, who made the direction signs (available for hire at very reasonable rates he tells me!), and everyone for coming.  I hope to arrange another run to tie in with a local vehicle rally in the summer.
