This is a list of motor cycles with engine capacities of 100cc or less that were available in Britain from 1950 to 1988. The information is compiled from the manufacturers' or importers' announcements at the start of each "model year". The information, therefore, sometimes reflects the manufacturers' intentions rather than what really happened. Up to the end of the 1960s, the "model year" usually began around September or October, with manufacturers announcing their new range in the lead up to the Earls Court Cycle and Motor Cycle Show.
The address shown against each make is usually that of the UK agent and is the address for the last year listed. The make of engine is shown for each model; when a manufacturer fitted his own engines this is shown as "Own". However, some makers who used imported engines declared them as being their own make.
