Stafford Show - 18 & 19 October 2003

Paul Raybould

Again this year we had a big stand at the Show, 40'×10' to be exact.  This enabled us to spread out a little and make good use of the space, resulting in us being able to display 11 machines, having a good cross section of cyclemotors, autocycles and mopeds.  With two lovely RM6s, we were able to celebrate 40 years of the Raleigh RM6 as well.

The following machines were displayed: D Casper - Motom; D Flye - Puch Maxi; K Walker - New Hudson; P Harris - re-styled New Hudson; M Crumpton - Mini-Motor & swan-neck SoleX; B Terry - Raynal autocycle; R Wright - NSU Quickly; L Gobbet - Raleigh RM6; P Raybould - Raleigh RM6; A Redgrave - Mobylette.

Awards were given to Keith Walker and Les Gobbet - well done to you both.  The stand was arrayed with flowers and small conifer trees, as well as a patch of artificial grass.  During the weekend we signed up 17 new members, and had a lovely time meeting and chatting to old and new members.  Many thanks must be given to all those who helped setting up and putting down, as well as manning the stand.  Well done guys 'n' gals.  Judging by the comments from those visiting the stand, we were well received.  All enjoyed a good weekend.
