Linda Dunk has won the British Society of Underwater Photographers' Open Portfolio Competition in 1994, 1995 and 1996, having come second in their Beginners' Portfolio Competition in 1993. She has been among the runners-up in Sportdiver's Photographer of the Year Competition in 1995 and 1996, and has been featured in their Portfolio Series. Linda was awarded the Diver Photographer of the Year trophy in 1997 and was highly commended twice in the Grand Master Portfolio section of the Image 99 Competition. Amateur Photographer has published a selection of her pictures in their Gallery feature, and Linda was the subject of a Chroniclers of the Deep interview in Dive International.

Most recent achievements include first place in the British Society of Underwater Photographers' 2002 and 2003 Theme Portfolio Competition, and a first place (for the fourth time) in their 2002 Open Portfolio Competition. Linda gained third and fourth placings in the B&W print category, for 'Submerged' and 'Exploration' (see Artwork and Sales page), at the 29th Festival Mondial de l'Image Sous-Marines at Antibes in October/November 2002. In October 2002, Scuba Schools International presented Linda with their Platinum Pro 5000 Diver Award in Las Vegas. Finally, an early morning shot of a hawksbill turtle in the Red Sea has recently won Linda a 'Highly Commended' award in the 2003 Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition, organized by the Natural History Museum in London in association with BBC Wildlife Magazine.
