Our adventures began as we queued up in Heathrow airport.
A lady told us that the flight had been over-booked and she wanted to find some people to go on the next day's flight.
She offered us over £1,200 in cash and said we could stay free in the Hilton Hotel if we would take the next day's flight.
Dad said that we were already short of time in America and so we had to say no to all that lovely money.
After eating loads of pizza and chips we boarded the plane for our 10 hour flight. We spent our time on the plane watching films, playing with our game-boys, and eating two yucky meals.
When we landed in America just as the wheels hit the tarmac Melanie was sick over herself, mum, and the lady sitting in-front. After cleaning Mels up and going through customs we jumped into a taxi to our Holiday Inn Select Hotel.
Our hotel room was great it had a fantastic view of Beverly Hills.
After eating a huge meal of burger, chips, salad and coke etc. which was brought to our room by a waiter we snuggled down into our beds for our first nights sleep in America.
Next day when we woke up we went down to explore our hotel a bit and enjoyed a buffet-style breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
We then went for a walk and were amazed at how wide the roads were and how big the cars were.
It was so hot that after about 10 mins we decided to check out the hotel swimming pool. We spent the rest of the day swimming, eating, drinking coke, more swimming and chilling out.
Life feels good.
After watching a bit of telly we had an early night to catch up with our sleep.
After eating cold pizza for breakfast we decided to take a tour of Los Angeles.
The first place we went o was a huge outdoor market called Farmers Market that sold everything and anything.
After this we went to the building where the Oscars are presented and got soaked playing in the fountains that came up through the pavement. It was really hot.
We went and took a photo of the famous Hollywood sign on the hill.
We then went to see all of the footprints and handprints of the famous that were set into the pavements. It was hot, dirty and tacky.
We spent the next hour driving the round the posh area of Beverly Hills looking at all of the Movie Stars houses.
After showering and changing in our hotel we took a taxi to a restaurant called Ed Debevicks for our tea. It was mega mad. The people working here were standing on the tables singing and dancing it was really crazy but really cool.
On our third day in America we went to Universal Studios.

Dad hired out a wheelchair so that he would have enough energy to last the whole day going on all the rides and seeing all the shows.
We went on - Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Terminator 2 and E.T, all of these were excellent rides.
We saw the Blues Brothers, Wild Wild West, Animal Show, Back Draft and loads of other shows.
We took a tour of Universal Studios
and saw all the film-sets including the very frightening shark from the Jaws film which tried to bite our tour bus.
We spent over 9 hours at Universal Studios then we walked along Universal Walk into Universal City before having our tea at the Hard Rock Café which was very noisy playing loud rock music.
This was a really cool day.
The next morning we packed our suitcases and took a taxi to the Hilton Hotel in Anaheim to begin the next part of our adventure.

Our hotel was right next door to Disneyland.
Visit Disney Website.
After dumping our cases in our room we went straight to Disneyland.
After hiring dad a wheelchair we had a quick breakfast before exploring.
Disneyland is made up of 6 different lands all of which are packed full of exciting rides. We spent this and the following day having fun, fun, fun.
Our favourite rides included :
The best thing about the rides was that because Dad was in a wheelchair we went to the fronts of the queues and didn't have to wait to get on any of the rides. Dad says he is thinking of hiring himself out to other families so they won't have to queue up either.
We also saw the Disney Parade on our first evening before returning to our hotel for some well deserved room-service.
The next day we took a coach which took us down to Sea-world.
We saw the Killer Whale show in which people in the audience got soaked.
We saw Sea-lion, Dolphin and Bird Shows.
We then went on a ride called Shipwreck Rapids and got completely soaked through and Mum had to buy us both some dry clothes.
We went back to our hotel and had a posh meal in the hotel restaurant to celebrated our 7 night American adventure. .
The next day was our last day in America so went to Disneyland and went on all our favourite rides again and again and again.
We took a taxi to the airport to catch the plane to start our next adventure in Australia.
