Come and Join Us

Road Racing:
Many of our members participate in the Kent League on a regular basis and other road races when the urge takes them. Abilities range from first category (pretty good) to third category and below (me!).
Time Trials:
Nearly all of our active members will participate in a time trial at some stage during a season. Most of us (well - the old 'uns anyway) race every week during the season; wives, girlfriends, injuries and weather permitting
Rides:
Theoretically we have a weekly club run of 50 miles or thereabouts (with a tea stop). We meet in the car park of the Alma public house, Birchwood Road, near Swanley, Kent, at 09:00 Sunday morning. I say theoretically because during the racing season (late March to early October) you may find that nobody shows up. Best to E-mail first if you are likely to be upset by being the only rider turning up.

Other 'ad-hoc' rides, toodling off to France and attendances at training camps are arranged when the fancy takes us.

Club Nights:
We meet every month on the first and third Tuesdays in the Memorial Hall, Wilmington Road, Dartford, Kent. Tea and the world famous Gill's Bread Puddin' are the main reasons for attending but we talk about cycling, racing, training, rides, each other (especially those that aren't there) and generally pass a pleasant evening. If you do fancy to join us, or even just try us out, just come along. But, for heavens sake, don't just sneak inside the door, stand around all night and then go home accusing us of being anti-social. Come in, ask for me if you like, and tell somebody that you are a virgin - well it's a good way to start a conversation! Honestly, 15 to 150 we would love to see you, even just for a visit and a chat about these pages.
