Who is 'The Jackal'?
The Jackal's real name is Benny Dibley. He was born in Bratislava in 1957. It is believed that he studied gardening and horticulture at his local college and was thought to have been a very good student who showed great promise as a gardener.
He has claimed in the past that he only became a revolutionary after suffering harassment from the local police in Bratislava. Police records show that in the 1960's he was arrested over fifty times for driving an over-laden car. On every occasion his car was crammed full of lard. No clear explanation was ever given of why he was carrying this bizarre cargo, although in Bratislava in the 1960's lard did have a quite high monetary value as a novelty item.
It is an irony that his involvement with lard, that most peaceful of the animal fats, may have lead to him becoming an international terrorist.
