hypa can announce today that it is cooperating with the European Commission on plans for further European integration. Should the aim of creating a Single European Currency prove successful, it is expected that an even great step towards a federal Europe will be made with the creation of a Single European Joke.
The joke will have to translate in to all 56 official European languages and must appeal to every national sense of humour. hypa's crack team of joke writers have already submitted a number of potential jokes to the European Commission for consideration. The current favourite translates in to English as follows:

A. It was a European chicken.
