Will Christmas Be Postponed?
hypa has learned that the United Nations Committee on Organising Christmas (UNCOC) is seriously considering delaying Christmas in the year 1999. It is thought that this may be required to allow more time for experts around the world to solve the 'Year 2000' computer problem.
By postponing Christmas in the year 1999, the year 2000 will also be postponed, thus giving a few more months for the defective computer programs to be fixed. hypa believes that if this course of action proves necessary, UNCOC will sanction a six month delay in Christmas.
