It was revealed today that a consortium involving some of the world's biggest financial companies is planning to buy the moon from the American government. The American's have been in legal possession of the moon ever since Neil Armstrong became the first person to walk on it.
Once in possession of the moon, it is though that the consortium will make an enormous profit by immediately selling the moon to the Russians. Sources suggest that the Russians would like to buy up the moon from the Americans as revenge for the lousy deal they got over Alaska.
