Susan moved to Guernsey from Glasgow in 1999 after graduating from Strathclyde University with a degree in Scots Law. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a Member of the Securities Institute. Having worked in Guernsey’s finance industry for 10 years, Susan started her own consultancy business providing bespoke company secretarial services in 2009 and now provides these services via Fides Corporate Services Limited. Susan is married to Adrian and has 2 beautiful cats and 3 chickens!


Helen is responsible for trust and company administration at Saffery Champness.

• Advising private clients in establishing trust and company structures.
• Third party fund administration, including acting as a Non Executive Director of a number of listed funds and companies.
• Employment companies.
• Family office.
History: Helen joined the Saffery Champness UK partnership in 1983 and became a Partner in 1997. She relocated to Guernsey in 2000.
Qualifications: Helen qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988.
Outside Interests: Helen enjoys skiing and scuba diving, on exotic holidays, rather than locally.

Zoe Cousens
Zoë has recently launched a new Financial Planning initiative for women offering independent advice across the personal financial spectrum including investments, savings, pensions and protection products. Previously, she spent ten years with Baring Asset Management as an Investment Manager with responsibility for the management of Private Client and Trust discretionary portfolios. Zoë’s career in finance began in 1986 as one of the first women to work on the trading floor of the London Stock Exchange for stockbroker TC Coombs followed by three years as an equity trader for Canadian private bank Scotia McLeod where Zoë qualified as a Registered Representative. Employment prior to Barings included Head of Trading Desk at Hoare Govett and Portfolio Manager at Allied Provincial Stockbrokers. Her interests include playing tennis and gardening, and she is currently the Chairman of the Lady Taverners charity in Guernsey which is practically another full-time job!
Michelle Johansen ACC MA ACIS
Michelle is Director and Executive Coach at Johansen Executive Coaching. She is working full-time as an executive and personal coach in the Channel Islands and Northern Europe. Before becoming a Coach, Michelle spent over 20 years as a Director and Senior Line Manager in the Guernsey Finance Industry, with 10 years as Director and COO at Credit Suisse Fund Administration.
Michelle formed the Women’s Development Forum in 2009 to support more women to become the senior leaders of the future.


Susan Lloyd
Susan Lloyd has spent nearly 30 years in the private equity industry, latterly as Director of Investor Relations at Schroder Ventures Holdings Limited and a member of the Committee of the European Venture Capital Association. Since moving to Guernsey in 2000, she has taken on a number of non-executive directorships of private equity funds domiciled in the Channel Islands.
Outside the finance sector, she is closely involved in supporting the development of a London-based orchestra of young professional musicians and has recently been asked to join the Funding Sub-committee of the Guernsey Arts Commission.
Her interests include sailing (preferably in the Caribbean) and ski-ing – until she recently wrecked her knee!
