MCDONALDS NEWS
Exciting rumors are going around the net right now, that there will be a Teenie Beanie Happy Meal promotion in the year 2000. The news originated from a Crain's Chicago Business news reports on August 2nd that McDonald's and TY have agreed to a June 16, 2000, start date for the fourth McDonald's Ty Beanie Babies Happy Meal promotion.
The Crain report mentioned a McDonald's Internal Memo listing the year 2000 media events which also included another Furby Happy Meal promotion to start on March 24 and a tie in with the 2000 summer Olympics (September 2000).
McDonald's / Disney promotions in 2000 include 'Dinosaur' the movie and the 2000 Disney Holiday animated theater release of 'Kingdom of the Sun'

Hi ~On a quest to finish my Womble collection today, I find one of my local restaurants has 'sold out' of Wombles and as a fill in are doing Pooh and Friends, the mini plush set from earlier this year. Pecan
Thanks Pecan. A couple of other people in the UK have also reported this. This usually happens when McD's have no toys left from the current set, so if you missed a toy from a recent promotion at McDonalds, it might be worth popping down to your local McD's to see if you can find that odd missing toy from a previous McDonalds set!

Britannia beanie BUDDIES have been spotted in UK shops. Beanies-UK have reported the following:
"I live in the UK and a friend of mine who's knows a local retailer in the UK said she found them (there was only 3 of them) when she opened up her delivery. She also had Flitter, Lips and Birthday bear delivered, which she was not expecting and the two Buddies, Inch and Schweetheart."

Beanie Baby Official Club website! After you place your order, it
says "You will receive an order confirmation soon."
They make it very clear what you may order and provide a total

BBOC WEBSITE RELAUNCHED!
The BBOC website has been re-launched. Members now must
complete a form and register to use the site. Many of the new
features advertised on the site such as Screen Savers and Free
Downloads are marked as "coming soon." Another section
called, "Beanie Babies," is described as "all new
'interactive' versions of your favorite Beanie Babies! Members
will be able to download them to their PC and share them with
other collectors." The Tic-tac-toe game was removed from the
member's area game section and placed on the front page of the
site as a demo game. There are now only three games to play
once inside the Members area. They are Club House Crossword

Ty has made it Official!! The New beanies, buddies and Pillow Pal which were available at the Trade fairs will only be available to retailers who attend the show! The message reads from the Ty website:
I want to tell you that the show exclusives really are exclusive!
Only those accounts that ordered at a summer show will receive and be able to reorder the 6 newbies until they are retired.

The series 2 cards have started to appear in the UK. The only difference so far compared to the USA cards is that there is a EU mark printed in blue foil in the corner of the card. The packs of series 2 cards are priced between £1.49 and £1.99, which is cheaper than the first series!
The Platium membership packs have arrived also,these are priced at £12.99 to £14.99.

Sorry I've been gone so long! I've been out of the country saying "Good Bye" to many people.
