For those of you who are new to the whole LeJohn story, you've probably logged on here under the impression that "I Hate LeJohn" is a true story. Wrong. Before you say that this is a snuff movie, and before you start looking for the detectives' graves, it was all an elaborate hoax. Ha ha. Many of you can't distinguish between the facts and the fiction. Although this summer's blockbuster "I Hate LeJohn" is BASED on fact, it has been sensationalised for the movie, and there are many speculations and assumptions that are not true. THE STORY & THE FACTS
Movie - Two boys are bored one day and they decide to create a balloon man called LeJohn
Fact - A group of youths celebrating an 18th birthday are waiting to watch videos and decide to "make a man" to pass the time. They make him out of balloons.
Movie - LeJohn died in the night of neglect.
Fact - LeJohn fell off the chair during the night.
Movie - LeJohn came back from the dead to kill innocent people and detectives.
Fact - LeJohn came back from the dead and threatened to kill people by writing them e-mails stating that if they didn't write him a nice obituary, they would be toast.
Movie - LeJohn is destroyed by another balloon man, LeWong.
Fact - LeJohn has never been caught, and, although LeWong does exist, he only does so for the purposes of the movie.
Movie - A man is killed by LeJohn and his eyeball pulled out.
Fact - No-one was ever killed by LeJohn.
Movie - Detectives wear socks around their necks.
Fact - Detectives wear socks around their ankles unless it's quite hot.
